Summer in Taiwan Day 1: Taipei City
This is my 2nd trip to Taiwan. The 1st trip was way too short for me to enjoy Taiwan proper. This time, I am all ready to go to explore Taiwan! Wheee! We reached Taoyuan International Airport at about 6pm. From Hong Kong to Taiwan, it's about 1hr 15 mins.

And guess whose the first (and only) celebrity we saw in Taiwan?
Ta-dah....! JJ Lin. At first, we thought our dear Ms Chee was joking until we saw this guy in trucker cap and sunglasses (typical of celebrity in public), removing his cap to show his face to custom officer. But he ran off with his entourage before we could say hi to him.
From the airport to the Keymans Hotel where we stayed, we took a 45 mins ride to the Taipei railway station on the Guoguang Bus. Keymans Hotel was situated at a convenient location, across the Taipei main station, so it wasnt difficult for us to locate it. After settling down our luggages, we quickly head to the famous Shilin Night Market.
For me, back in Taipei felt like coming back home. I love the food, their metro and love how civic-minded the Taiwanese people are (with the exception of their govt.)
At Shilin, the first thing we ate was the very famous fried chicken cutlet (hao da ji pai). The price has rose from NT45 to NT50, since my last visit. But nonetheless, the chicken remained as big, as yummy, as crispy as it was the last time. :) Of cos, bubble tea is a must to go with the snacks. I had the pudding milk tea, Sky's favourite actually (drinking on behalf for him. lol). I guess now i understand why he loves pudding milk tea. It got me hooked already.
